APPELLATIONS OF ORIGIN
The Vanzetti firm boasts consolidated experience in the field of the protection of appellations of origin and geographical indications. In this area the firm has also provided and continues to regularly provide assistance to consortiums protecting local products.
The Vanzetti firm also brought the first Italian case to reach the Supreme Court relating to the conditions for protection of appellations of origin under the Lisbon Agreement, in which the question of links between the product and milieu was tackled.
Vanzetti has also obtained recognition, both by the lower courts and the Supreme Court, of the possibility for the national jurisdictional authority to rule on the validity of appellations registered under the Lisbon Agreement.
